Publication of Aspects of Student Well-Being and Reading Achievement in PIRLS 2021

The first report in the new PIRLS Insights series is now available. Aspects of Student Well-Being and Reading Achievement in PIRLS 2021 explores relationships between fourth-grade students' reading achievement and certain factors that may impact their subjective well-being. Read the full report here.

PIRLS is more than a measure of reading achievement—it also gathers data on behaviors, attitudes, and other aspects related to students' educational experiences. The PIRLS Insights reports use both achievement and contextual data to take a closer look at areas of particular interest in educational research. For more information on the contextual data collected in PIRLS 2021, see the PIRLS 2021 Context Questionnaire Framework.
