Mathematics and Science Achievement in the Final Years of Secondary School: IEA's Third International Mathematics and Science Report

This report presents results of the TIMSS mathematics and science literacy assessment administered to students in their final year of secondary school in 21 countries; advanced mathematics achievement of final-year students having taken advanced mathematics in 16 countries; and physics achievement of students having taken physics in 16 countries. The report presents achievement results for these subjects as well as mathematics and physics content areas, for individual test questions, and for important background variables.
